WHO WE ARE

You may ask yourself, how did I get here?

Some friendships are simply meant to be. Ours began over 20 years ago through music and a shared love for deep, meaningful conversations that inspire laughter, play, self-reflection, and growth. We came together to start Happy Rebel Healing because we understand the power and potential of psychedelics in human growth, and we want to be a part of bringing this magic to others.

We didn’t come to this work through the front door—and maybe you didn’t either.

While Colorado has now legalized psilocybin therapy, many of us have been walking this path long before policy caught up. We come from communities where mushrooms were used with reverence, curiosity, and sometimes rebellion—where norms were shrugged off in the pursuit of something real, raw, and healing.

Because the truth is, people have been working with psychedelic mushrooms—for healing, growth, and connection—for thousands of years. And through all of our own experiences over the years, one thing has remained clear:
This kind of transformational healing should be accessible to anyone who wants it.

We believe in the power of safe, supported psilocybin experiences, not just as an alternative to traditional therapy, but as a way to remember what it means to be fully alive. Some insights can’t be put into words. Some breakthroughs aren’t linear. And some healing only happens when we give ourselves permission to see things differently.

At Happy Rebel Healing, this has always been the dream:
  - To share this medicine in a way that’s legal, grounded, and deeply human.
  - To create space for people to drop their armor, unearth their truth, and release what’s been too heavy for too long.
  - To contribute to healing the collective, one honest, courageous journey at a time.

Because healing doesn’t have to look like it used to. And neither do we.

Teresa Crossland, LPC, NMCF

Co-Founder, Clinical Director

As the creator of the Happy Rebel brand, this is a label that encapsulates so much of who Teresa is and aspires to be. For one with such serious education, training and experience, she is surprisingly irreverent, hilarious and kind, and cares deeply about the people with whom she works. You will most likely find her in the company of a 150 pound Great Dane, who brings her own brand of levity and goofiness to make the healing more palatable. But in between the jokes and the eye-rolling commentary on the absurdity of life, Teresa has a way that helps you feel deeply understood and genuinely cared for, and will always hold your healing, comfort and safety with the deepest care and attention.

Teresa is a licensed therapist, specializing in trauma and psychedelics, bringing 20 years of expertise in guiding people through profound inner work. She has been trained in EMDR and IFS and as well as seeing clients in her private therapy practice, has been working with MAPS and Lykos in psychedelic research for over a decade, as both a therapist and a consultant to help guide and train other therapists. As a graduate of CIIS’s first psychedelic therapy studies program in 2016, she combines cutting-edge research with deep compassion, creating a space for healing that is both grounded and expansive. Teresa has experience facilitating sessions with psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine and feels very comfortable guiding others in the psychedelic space. She has extensive experience with non-ordinary states of consciousness – personally and professionally, and recognizing that we are all works in progress, is committed to her own deep work in service of healing others. Her main passion at Happy Rebel Healing is blending her skills as a therapist with the wisdom and openness that comes with psychedelics.

Erin Pfarr, NMIT

Co-Founder, Strategic Director

Erin is a master of comfort and care: the kind of person who makes you feel at home the moment you step into a space. She has a sixth sense for setting the mood and a talent for making everyday moments feel like something worth celebrating.

But her value goes well beyond atmosphere. Erin is a Swiss-army knife of talent: client care, regulatory compliance, and the tech and systems that keep Happy Rebel Healing running. Her background spans medical cannabis, business development, design, higher education, and holistic wellness, a mix that let her walk into Colorado's brand-new natural medicine framework already fluent in regulated industries. She also consults privately, helping other aspiring healing centers navigate that same licensing, zoning, and business-formation path.

But…she's not a therapist. So, how did she end up here?

When Teresa was struck with the original vision for what would become Happy Rebel Healing, Erin was the first person she reached out to. Without hesitation, even before fully knowing what she was agreeing to, Erin was a "Hell yes." She believed in Teresa, and knew that whatever they built together would ripple outward in all the right ways.

Today, Erin holds her Colorado Natural Medicine Facilitator-in-Training license and is the steady heartbeat of Happy Rebel Healing, turning complex regulation into something that actually works while keeping the atmosphere effortless. Her grounded presence and practical magic complement Teresa's depth of experience and therapeutic vision. Erin's presence is a reminder that healing can be cozy and creative, while still holding space for the hard stuff.
