[content]Angela Tallo is a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 20 years of experience supporting people through trauma, life transitions, and profound personal transformation. As a Colorado Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator, she integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with a deeply relational, compassionate, and reverent approach to healing.

Angela's work lives at the threshold where clinical science and sacred experience meet. Grounded in trauma-informed, evidence-based care while honoring the mystery and meaning that can emerge through medicine work, she believes healing doesn't ask us to choose between psychology and spirituality; it invites us into a deeper conversation with both.

Her work is grounded in advanced training in EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed care, somatic approaches, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and psilocybin-assisted therapy through Naropa University. She continues to deepen her practice through ongoing consultation, supervision, and apprenticeship within traditional lineage-informed medicine communities.

Angela believes healing begins by creating the conditions for people to feel deeply seen, emotionally safe, and gently supported. From that foundation, people can return home to themselves, reconnecting with the wholeness that has always been there beneath the adaptations that helped them survive. Grounded in both the wisdom of science and the mystery of the human spirit, she honors healing as both deeply human and deeply mysterious.

Whether in psychotherapy or medicine work, Angela is committed to creating a grounded, nurturing space where meaningful transformation can unfold with patience, curiosity, compassion, and trust.

[title]One thing you have learned, or unlearned, on your own healing path?[/title]

[answer]I've been unlearning the idea that healing is something we force or achieve. My own path has taught me that transformation is less about striving and more about creating the conditions for healing and growth—with patience, curiosity, compassion, and trust. As those conditions emerge, we begin to return home to ourselves, discovering that healing isn't about becoming someone new, but reconnecting with the wholeness that has always been there beneath the adaptations that helped us survive. Along the way, I've learned that there is wisdom in every version of ourselves, each one carrying a story and quietly longing to be met with compassion rather than judgment.[/answer]

[title]What kind of beauty stops you in your tracks?[/title]

[answer]Nature has a way of stopping me completely. Mountain sunrises, wildflowers growing through impossible places, birds landing unexpectedly nearby, the changing colors of the sky at sunset, or watching light move through the trees. Since returning from Peru, I've found myself slowing down even more to notice these ordinary moments. They remind me that healing doesn't always happen in dramatic breakthroughs. It often unfolds quietly when we're paying attention.[/answer]

[title]If you could gift every client one feeling after a session, what would it be?[/title]

[answer]If I could gift every client one feeling after a session, it would be the felt sense that they are profoundly worthy of belonging to themselves, to others, and to this world. I believe healing begins when we experience genuine safety, and from that safety comes the freedom to reconnect with who we've always been.[/answer]

Her presence is grounded and intuitive, blending clinical skill with the wisdom of traditional healing practices.

[title]What is something that you loved as a kid that still brings you joy?[/title]

[answer]Card games. As an adult, playing Poker brings out my inner Trickster Goddess.[/answer]

[title]One thing you have learned, or unlearned, on your own healing path?[/title]

[answer]Sometimes the work is not actually about “healing” a pattern or trauma wound, but choosing the relationships and experiences that accommodate your unique sensitivities and vulnerabilities. [/answer]

[title]If you could gift every client one feeling to take with them after a session, what would it be?[/title]

[answer]Acceptance. When I started therapy at 17 years old, it was the first time I genuinely felt accepted for who I was and the experiences I was having instead of being made wrong for them. It was back then that I knew I wanted to become a therapist so that if I could help just one person to feel accepted for exactly who they are, I would feel satisfied with my life. It is my wish that every person gets to feel a sense of belonging in this world, starting with themselves.

[title]What kind of beauty stops you in your tracks?[/title]

[answer]Flowers literally stop me in my tracks, because I never cease to be amazed by their uniqueness and sublime purpose. Flowers are by far the focus of the majority of my photographs.

[/answer]

[title]What’s your favorite way to reconnect when you’re feeling off track?[/title]

[answer]Time in nature. I have deep connections to nature, and ever since I was a child I have found it to be a powerful medicine. Whether I'm hiking on a warm, beautiful sunny day, or freezing my butt off in the wintertime, it's exactly the medicine I need.

[/answer]

[title]If you could gift every client one feeling to take with them after a session, what would it be?[/title]

[answer]Gratitude. Simple gratitude is such an important emotion to help us appreciate and connect with both people and experiences in our lives. When I find myself becoming negative and judgmental, practicing gratitude helps turn things around faster than anything else.

[title]One thing you have learned, or unlearned, on your own healing path?[/title]

[answer]I discovered the hidden operating system that was running my life. For years, I lived in patterns of striving for perfection, people-pleasing, and performing at an unsustainable pace. Perfection often kept me from even starting—because I never felt “ready.” People-pleasing and playing the hero gave me a false sense of being needed, but it wasn’t the authentic connection I truly craved. I realized I want to be met, not needed. And the constant push to achieve left little room to listen, slow down, and simply be. My greatest unlearning has been this: I am enough—not because of what I accomplish, but because of who I am.[/answer]

[title]What's your favorite way to reconnect when you're feeling off track?[/title]

[answer]I go to nature—and I stay as long as it takes. I unplug completely, sleep on the earth, under the stars, eat whole, simple food, and let myself settle into the slow rhythm of the natural world. There’s something magical about losing track of time and remembering that I belong, both to the earth and to myself. I don’t leave until I feel awe again—the kind that makes life feel like a miracle.[/answer]

[title]If you could gift every client one feeling to take with them after a session, what would it be?[/title]

[answer]Alignment. That deep sense of being connected to your own heart’s truth—where “yes” and “no” become crystal clear. I want clients to leave feeling that their choices and actions flow from a place of inner integrity, and that they are motivated by alignment rather than pressure. That feeling is magnetic—it changes everything.[/answer]
